How To Break Up With White Supremacy

by Tiffany E. Barber

A collaboration with Sandy Williams IV and Mariana Parisca, this play on self-help literature outlines steps towards shedding personal and cultural baggage to break up with white supremacy.

This title was published in collaboration with the Book/Print Artist/Scholar of Color collective, which brings scholars of book history and print culture into conversation and collaboration with Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) book artists, papermakers, curators, letterpress printers, and printmakers to build community and support systems.

Tiffany E. Barber is a scholar, curator, and critic of visual art, new media, and performance whose work focuses on artists of the Black diaspora. The sculptures, films, performances, paintings, and photographs that Sandy Williams IV makes challenge the persistence of memory, the body, and resistance. Through the manipulation of visibility and invisibility, multimedia artist Mariana Parisca explores where materialities meet image surfaces to counter the forces of empire.
