Sofia El Khyari grew up in Casablanca. She taught herself the craft of animation after moving to Paris to study cultural management. El Khyari directed her first short film before obtaining her master’s degree in animation from the Royal College of Art in London. Her award-winning films have been screened at multiple international festivals.
