Those are very hurtful words

by Ken Lum

What hurtful words? What are you talking about? I didn't say anything hurtful. You're the one who's saying hurtful things to me. You're the one who's always tossing hurtful words. You're the one saying hurting words to me.

Ken Lum was born in Vancouver, Canada and lives in Philadelphia. He is the Marilyn Jordan Taylor Presidential Professor and chair of the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design. Lum is co-founder and founding editor of Yishu Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art. He has exhibited widely, including São Paulo Biennial, Shanghai Biennale, Documenta 11, the Istanbul Biennial, and the Gwangju Biennale, Moscow Biennial, and the Whitney Biennial.
