This title was published in collaboration with the Book/Print Artist/Scholar of Color collective, which brings scholars of book history and print culture into conversation and collaboration with Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) book artists, papermakers, curators, letterpress printers, and printmakers to build community and support systems.

Alisa Banks addresses identity politics through the lenses of home, terrain, and the body using materials that reference traditional crafts. Her work has exhibited internationally and is in several collections, including the Smithsonian Institute, the Library of Congress, and the New York Public Library. Alisa lives in Dallas, TX.
